The proof of Infantino’s lead in each challenge in the field of laws and regulations that manage football
After the last edition of the World Cup, he announced on August 12 the new modifications to the ethical code after the extensive meetings held on the sidelines of the tournament in Russia through the legislative council, those modifications which have been adopted by the national and continental federations as of this date.
Here, in this context, we draw a number of points which are very important:
- Infantino through these modifications aimed at separating ethics and discipline and to oblige the technical federations to separate them as most federations combine the rules of discipline and ethics in one list, and this is something that Infantino has never approved.
- Making sure the general framework of the ethics code controls the behavior of the officials, referees, players, coaches or any personnel related to the sport outside the game, while the general framework of the disciplinary rules controls the behavior of the same elements that takes place during the time of the game.
- Infantino in his new philosophy expanded the ethical code and disciplinary rules from limited punishment, for example, to public chants of incitement to racism or discrimination based on race or religion, or any of this to the punishment of any public chants concerning insult or violation of human dignity.
- In the same philosophy regarding his legal vision, Infantino once again turned his attention to insulting the football officials to each other.
- Disciplinary behavior does not only depend on what is written in the referee’s report, which manages a match but it can be proven using videos and other technology.
- The provisions of disciplined behavior, especially for the public are not set only actions occur inside the stadium, but they include any behavior from outside the game time and place.
- Infantino also made some serious modifications to the issues of corruption, integrity, transparency, disclosure and manipulation of the football matches. These modifications proved that Infantino’s mentality was within the framework of football rules and regulations, and it is worth studying.
Expanding such penalties to include defaming people in these matters is important the field of international football, especially with regard to issues of bribes in this field.
This proves every day the great desire of Infantino to control the practice of football and control its behavior.
These trends once again remind us that the Egyptian Football Federation must have a strong system and strict rules of ethics and discipline, and we should reorganize the legal rules governing these behaviors and work together to educate the public and officials about what is new in this regard.
FIFA under the leadership of Infantino is heading to regulations and laws governing football without leaving any room or gap to violate the values and ethics of sport in general and football in particular.
