It is obvious that #Infantino and his philosophy and thought of developing the world’s #world football and his goal in looking forward to the future of the game will bring us daily challenges.
Every time I have the opportunity to listen to Infantino and analyze his ideas I realize that he is a man of creativity and innovation and a man of non-traditional ideas.
This attribute is one of the most important qualities that must be exercised by the sports authorities concerning the daily competitive value, which requires us to offer each day something new.
I started analyzing Infantino’s philosophy in an international conference aimed at establishing the term of “romance of football”. As a result the number of the World Cup participating teams has increased to 48 teams and the national alliances replaced the normal single host nation.
We can also observe that Infantino aims at using technology as much as possible during the football games.
This confirms once again that technology is one of the most important elements of achieving competitive justice, competitive balance and the romantic football in light of the great and rapid changes that influence football, which led to different coordinates in the development of the game which in turn led to hard arbitration decisions that depend on the naked eye and the human nature.
Infantino’s thought and vision are now being discussed in a more comprehensive and profound way by the International Football Association Board that the legislative modifications that FIFA take into consideration, which are expected to be in effect by 2019, are related to
VAR (video assistant referee),
or VOR (video operation room),
or RRA (referee review area)
New texts about the video assistant referees and their assistants also can be noticed.
These provisions concern with a number of penalties that are related to the players’ misbehavior that depend on using the technology of the video operation room and the referee review area, in addition to banning the players from affecting the referee using the video technique during the game through a table of texts and penalties that refers to a great professionalism in drafting the legislative ideas for the law of football.
I am not aiming at discussing the developed texts and regulations which will be included by the law (around 15 regulations), I am talking about what we need to do to develop the Egyptian football system.
The national sports bodies, such as the Ministry of Sports and the National Olympic Committee, should play an important role in the training the Egyptian sports cadres in order to help them cope with the evolving development internationally, not only in football but also in all sports as the world is rapidly developing in sport.
